Our women’s teams have had a bit of reshuffle over the last week. Due to numbers, we have unfortunately had to withdraw our Pennant F team and combine our fours and fives into our new Metro A team. This pushes players up through all teams, which is a great chance for everyone to improve.
This also means that the coaching staff has had a reshuffle: Trevor Bannon remains with the ones, John Barton with the twos and Bel Williaton with the threes. Kathryn Duncan will take over the fours, with Phil Deuart moving into a mentoring role, assisting with skill development and transitioning players from juniors through to seniors.
This is an exciting opportunity for the women to gain some success and be in contention for a finals berth. It is a great chance for our juniors coming through to show their skills whilst learning a thing or two from some of our most experienced club members.
