Knox enjoyed some great representation out at the Junior State Championships last week!
The under 13 boys featured Mitchell Howe, Bailey Howe and James Brown and were coached by Brent Sullivan, finishing third in a high intensity tournament.
Over in the under 13 girls, Amy Woodward enjoyed her week playing for the South East Country Cougars, in a team that exceeded expectations with most games either a draw or loosing by no more than a goal. Also playing for the Cougars was Cooper Cullen, representing us in the under 13 boys.
Sarah Duncan represented us in the Under 17 Girls Sharks, finishing third. Keeping the family rivalry in check was Josh Duncan playing for the under 15 Boys Hotshots, who also finished third.
Not only did we have players at the JSC, but we also had few umpires representing us: Ewan Wightman-Gonzalez (u13), Josh Duncan (u13), Sarah Duncan (u15), Alex Horner and Josh Hall (assistant umpire director – u17).
By all accounts, everyone had an excellent time, learnt loads and made some new friends. Congratulations everyone, and great job!
